Opendesk is a creative commons platform that manufactures its products exclusively by outsourcing CNC fabrication to companies like us who have the CNC router cutting machinery and experience to translate digital files into cut components. Having passed their stringent manufacturing requirements and audit we have now become official makers/CNC fabricators of Opendesk.
The optimal principle of this type of CNC fabrication model is sound as long as the design files are flawless and in tune with a world that is not digitally perfect ie materials, tolerances and economic viability of post CNC cutting fabrication and finishing.

Like other makers in their network we have helped the design team behind Opendesk verify and improve their existing portfolio by feeding back when we have experienced issues with fabrication as a direct result of the files that we were supplied with.
